Duralay Timbermate Wood Underlay must be laid with the foil side face down to ensure the maximum resistance to moisture from the sub floor.

Duralay Excel joing tape Fitting Tip: Sweep and scrap area, lay underlay throughout area to be installed with foil side down, pull back at seam then apply tape to that side, lay back down and repeat for the opposite side.
