F Ball F60 Styccobond Contact Adhesive
STYCCOBOND F60 is a solution of synthetic rubber and resin in flammable solvents. It is suitable for use over normal underfloor heating installations and will withstand normal wet cleaning techniques. The formation of an ‘instant’ bond, makes it particularly suitable for use on stairs and steps.

STYCCOBOND F60 can be used for securing PVC and rubber edgings, covings and nosings, floor and wallcoverings with backings of PVC, rubber cork and most textiles. It can also be applied to STOPGAP smoothing underlayments, sound, smooth, clean, dry surfaces of concrete, sand/cement screed, granolithic, terrazzo, plaster, plasterboard, flooring grade chipboard, plywood, hardboard, wood, blockboard and steel.

STOPGAP waterproof surface membranes and sound flooring grade asphalt must be skimmed with a minimum of 3mm of the appropriate smoothing underlayment.

Open Time: 20 minutes – until the adhesive becomes touch dry then the two surfaces can be brought together within the next 30 minutes.
Coverage Rates (approx.): 2m² per litre coating both surfaces:
1ltr = 2m²
5ltr = 10m²
Note: Coverage rates will depend on the condition and absorbency of the subfloor.
Application:
Use the spreader held at an angle of 60° or a brush to apply a thin, uniform coat of adhesive evenly to the back of the covering and to the floor or wall surface.

Allow the solvent to evaporate until the adhesive becomes touch dry before bringing the two coated surfaces together. Apply pressure from the centre outwards to avoid trapping air, ensuring that good contact is made over the whole area.

Roll floorcoverings with a 68kg roller and apply pressure to wallcoverings using a paper hangers roller or a spatula.

Precautions:
Correct positioning is essential as an immediate bond forms when the two surfaces are brought together. Do not use a steel trowel to apply this adhesive. When securing floor coverings to stairs and steps, ensure that sufficient adhesive is applied. Coverings on stairs and steps must be firmly secured. Trapped solvent remaining in the adhesive films when the bond is formed may be detrimental to the decorative floor finish. Highly flammable. Observe the Health and Safety information provided. Empty containers are a potential fire hazard and must be disposed of carefully, in accordance with current regulations for waste materials.

Tools:
STYCCOBOND Safety Spreader or flat brush. Clean tools with STYCCOCLEAN C141 or STYCCOCLEAN SOLVENT immediately after use.

Storage:
Store between 5°C and 30°C in accordance with current regulations for highly flammable liquids. Protect from frost.

Shelf Life:
12 months in unopened containers and stored under good conditions.
